change gearbox Lancia Yp 843 from 5-speed to 6-speed

Hi everyone, I own a Ypsilon 2004 with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Lancia introduced a 6-speed manual gearbox in 2007+ versions of the Ypsilon.
Does anyone know if the cable lay-out of the 5-speed is convenient to transplant a 6-speed gearbox to my car?
Any other points worth mentioning when dealing with this?
