The engine block has cracked on my 1990 Thema 16V turbo.I have a low mileage 1987 8V turbo engine.
Would it be possible to fit the 16V turbo head onto the 8V turbo block?

Michael,

I can't give you a definite answer on this, but when I did the head gasket on my 8v Turbo I was wrongly supplied with a 16v gasket and I noticed that there were differences in the aligment of holes in the gasket for coolant channels and oil feeds. Fortunately a friend had an 8v gasket so the job was completed without blocking any channels.

I would take a careful look to see how the two gaskets compare when you remove the heads.

Cheers
