Error code 1211 on series 3 2.0 16V VIS

Can anyone help please? I think this might be a 'voltage out of range' code, could anyone confirm this please?

..er, sorry - mis-read it, it's code 2 1 1 1 ...which if it's the same code list as the 164 M1.7 ECU is 'Knock Sensor 1 fault' which would explain why the car feels flat when the trouble light is on.
Right.....where is the knock sensor hidden then?

Under the center of the intake manifold - screws on to engine block. A mirror to see and probably through left vallance to remove.

Thanks Paddy, found it...
Now I need to find out what's wrong with it! I've managed to get some data so know what the waveform should look like. I'll get a 'scope on it tomorrow and see what I find. I'll also check it's fitted properly as I understand they are very sensitive to the torque of the fixing bolt.

...well....I cleaned the connector to the knock sensor and reset the ECU which didn't seem to help initially. Then I put a 'scope on it, which didn't tell me much at all...then the fault cleared and hasn't returned.
