Rev counter
Rev counter
My Thema is 2.0 i.e. turbo, 1986. The rev counter shows about half what it should. Any ideas what has gone wrong?
Re: Rev counter
Hello Dian,
Sounds like a fault with the instrument itself. Possibly a faulty transistor or a capacitor. Only way to fix it is to replace the rev counter (or get an electronics expert to have a look at it). The wiring is fairly simple, the positive and negative supply is shared with the other instruments and the pulse/signal comes directly from the ignition coil. So if the engine is running OK and the other instruments and warning lights are Ok then it points to a faulty rev counter.
The Thema-Dedra Consortium should be able to supply a replacement. http://www.lancia-tdc.co.uk

Re: Rev counter
Thanks Leo,
First, I will try to fix rev couner, it looks more interesting.
If I fail, I look for another one.
