The first time we learned about this forum was when looking for solution how to lift up all 4 windows on Phedra that went down without any visible cause or explanation. Thanks to this forum, not only we were able to resolve the problem with windows, but also found Antonio, the best mechanic for phedra, and formed many new friendships. That same year, 2005, we were travelling to Holland for the first time, but back than we didn't know that the founder and owner of this site is Huib from Breda.
Wanting to thank him for this site and friendships created thanks to his site and forum, we e-mailed him before our trip to Holland and he kindly accepted our offer for meeting. Huib and his lovely wife Annebel were perfect hosts, making us feel comfortable and at home so far away from Italy. Thanks to them, for the first time we had a chance to taste Indonesian cuisine and excellent Belgian westmalle tripel trappist beer. Gianni's daughter, PhD in enology from last December, finds that to be the best among 5 most famous trappist beers.

Dear Huib and Annebel, thank you so much for welcoming us in your home and for loving our home country and Lancia. We were afraid that you might find nduja too spicy, but after tasting Indonesian dishes we are sure you'll be fine.

Appena rientrati a Roma da Milano, in effetti abbiamo percorso 4472km con la
Vecchia Signora, che ha 31300km, e non parlo della Juventus:
Roma-Malinska-Zagreb-Milano-Amsterdam-Breda-Belgio-Rotterdam-Milano-Carpi
(doverosa visita da Antonio per cambio olio e filtri)-Roma.
Un bel giro.
Da non dimenticare che dietro consiglio di Huib, siamo andati a comprare la birra in Belgio
al paradiso della birra
@ Caro Francis, mi farebbe piacere partecipare ai raduni ma le date non coincidono con i
nostri impegni specialmente da inizio giugno fine settembre , poi inizia la stagione dei funghi. Purtroppo, quest'anno, abbiamo saltato il periodo degli asparagi per paura delle vipere.
@ Caro Andrea, Kristina ha scritto il messaggio in inglese per dar modo ai Signori Huib di poterlo
leggere. In ogni caso è un ringraziamento per la giornata che abbiamo passato insieme, per i posti
che ci ha fatto vedere. abbiamo passato più volte il confine Olanda/Belgio e ci siamo fermati a
degustare specialità da una e altra parte. Posti ricchi di storia, specie secondo conflitto mondiale.
Infine abbiamo cenato in un famoso ristorante indonesiano e Huib ha ordinato le specialità della
sua madrepatria.
Ed eccoci qui a disfare le valigie e pronti per ripartire....
