I have always found it to be very easy to clean with just ordinary water or soap and water no special cleaners needed and almost anything comes off . I believe that at one time Lancia issued booklets on removing various stains but I've not seen one for years and the newer cars came without them

I second that. I once spilled oil from a takeaway curry on the passenger seat. We ate the curry, had some beers, and three hours later I used ordinarry soap and water to clean it up. Came up a treat, and dried very fast indeed. The Tikka Massala smell went quickly too.Alan Cooper wrote:

Another problem is that alcantara tends to get "fluffy" with time and not very nice to look at. I solved the problem by using a simple razor (gilette march 3 of course) and severel hours of work but i was worth the time!
Good luck

Much easier with a Fuzz remover, just like an electric razor but battery powered which you can buy for removing the balled wool from jumpers!!!
