Thema VIS Noises

Hi
I have a 1994 Thema 2.0ie 16V VIS model, I have changed the standard coil springs to Jamex - which have lowered the car by 35mm and stiffened the suspension. I have also fitted 17"x 7.5j Momo Arrows wearing 215 45 17 tyres.
The old tyres were 195 60 15 so I know that the rolling radius is near enough.
The problem I have encountered is the there is a knocking noise from the back when on bumpy roads since the suspension was uprated, also the rear is quite twitchy at high speed, my wife's Dedra still handles better but the Thema does look very sexy.
Has any one else put 17" wheels on their Thema, if you want a photo then please email me. I live in Dorset and would like to get in touch with the owner of a Black F reg Thema which has been customized to get in touch.
