I have just got an 1987 i.e turbo and I'm not sure how to tell if if it's a serie 1 or 2.
Is there a easy way to tell please?

Jon, most likely to be a Series 1 if its a 1987. Obvious signs are:

Indicators are clear, to the side of the lamps if S1. S2 have smoked lenses under the slimmer headlamps.

Interior will have the rosewood door cappings if S2.
