Experience with OBD or CAN readers?

Unread post by nadjaji »

Hi, I am looking for a good and affordable diagnostic tool. What are your experiences?
I came across this VDM UCANDAS V3.5 WiFi Full System Diagnostic Tool and am wondering if it can do the job.
This is the link, if you want to have a closer look.

It says it can also reprogram key fobs, but I am a bit sceptic:S

Any input is more than welcome.

Have you already taken a look on Multiecuscan home page? I'd say that's the software you need, and there's a list of compatible (generic) cables per car model: http://www.multiecuscan.net/SupportedVehiclesList.aspx

You may need a set of three adapters for connecting to various ECUs.MultiEcuScan handles them all with a few exceptions. The most annoying omission is that it cannot connect to the EPB controller.
