1. Where exactly is the switch located?
2. assuming its kaput where to get another or is repair possible ?

Top centre of the gearbox. Has a 2 pin connector. You'll have to do a bit of digging under the pipework to find it though. If it's shot call chris at Betacar 01535 275560. He'll sort you one no problem.
