Hello,
The engine of my Thema turbo 16V (1991) is sometimes stalling. Sometimes when accelerating hard (not flooring) from around
2500-3000rpm the engine suddenly stalls for a moment, like the engine is momentarilly switched off for a second. This must not be good for the transmission.
When accelerating moderately nothing is wrong.
My garage tells me it could have something to do with the turbo sticking (?). I hope not.
It doesn't matter in what gear I am in, though most of the time it happens when I am in third or higher gear.
I surely hope someone could give me an answer.
Engine stalling
Re: Engine stalling
same happens to my thema i.e. 16v, so it is not the turbo. someone answered this problem up in this page.

Re: Engine stalling
Could be your over boost switch
If your are accelerating hard and the boost comes on to full and then jsut cust out and then cuts back in.
making the car jump it sounds like the over boost switch is cutting inBob Solbrig wrote:
