I'm planning on giving myself the security of a manual over-ride switch for the radiator fan.
I'm not an experienced car electrician some my thoughts were to either
1) wire the switch in so that it was in the circuit in parallel with the thermostatic switch.
2) to wire the switch in across the radiator fan relay so that it gives the relay switch an alternative earth when the over ride switch was turned on.
Obviously I want to keep the functioning of the Thermo Switch intact. Is either circuit preferable or is it just a question of ease and preference?
Wiring a manual switch for the Radiator Fan
Re: Wiring a manual switch for the Radiator Fan
We always use grounding the relay with an extended wire into the dash using the front fog light switch. (Wich normally is not used) and leave the rest intact working as usual

Re: Wiring a manual switch for the Radiator Fan
Ruud,
Thanks for the guidance. I'm working without a Gamma wiring diagram can you save me some voltmeter testing and tell me which colour of wire from the relay it is that should be grounded.
If its the same as the old Beta diagram that I have it looks like I should be grounding a black/white wire.
Cheers

Can't say now because I don't have the diagram here.
