Dear friends Lancisti, I am about to buy my second Lancia and it is Thesis 2004 with a 175bhp, but it is automatic gearbox that is making me really worried, it is not old italian ZF but Japanese Aisin, and they say on other forums that it is not that good, ..
I would like to know if you can help me more on how many kilometers they make before each service, what are yours experiences with this gearbox from a day to day drive and what is being changed apart from oil on a big service when they are broken..
With my Lybra no problems since it is a manual as well as my Alfa Romeos that i drove for over 10 years, but this Thesis model is making me nervous..so please help...

This forum is plenty of threads about automatic transmission problems and troubleshooting. What I suggest to you, is to open every thread with "cambio automatico" or everything that sounds related to the gearbox and translate it with any online service like Google and hopefully this will give you an idea about the topic. There has been thousand of discussions on it, particular problem, fixing, etc..
Unofrtunately I see no point opening a new general discussion about the automatic transmission and every single issue related to it, you can easly have all the information just by reading the material already present in the forum.
