So here's a real headspinner, I can't explain it, but I would like to know if any other drivers have experienced a pitched whine coming in random intervals from the car at standstill.. the key is out, the car is just sitting there..
Sounds a bit like a whine or even a fart? Goes on for 5-15 secs.
Anyone?
I think perhaps it could be vacuum buildup somewhere, but heck, what do I know, never heard of it on any car ever before...any theories or concrete answers on this one? What puzzles me, is that this is still happening after the car is all switched off, ongoing and at any given time..
Actually not a worry, it's rather charming and curious...
post whining from the car...
Re: post whining from the car...
Haha, dear Criz, yeah, that's right it is the fuel tank haha, indeed a funny sound, another original Gamma feature, the car is alive don't you think ?

Re: post whining from the car...
this is maybe not be so unusual! my late father once had a honda that used to moo like a cow when it was left standing after a long drive!! I think it was a CRX not 100% sure though but I'm pretty sure it had something to do with pressure in the fuel tank
Re: post whining from the car...
I send you a .wav file of the Belrlina, so you can compare the two farts !
Re: post whining from the car...
Rena, Can you send me the .wav sample ?
I can time-strech it an make a multitimbral synth-sound under one of my compositions !
