Please help me from Spain. I'm desperated!!!!!!!!!!!! . ComforTronic IN TROUBLE is displayed and when you are stopping the car (10 Km/h - 5 mph) appears EPB FAULT (automatic oil changed 2,000 miles ago and new battery EPB) . Must be ELECTRICAL PROBLEM because when you turn off the car and turn on again disappears!!!! so it appears again in a time8-). HELP me partners. lancia thesis 2.4 20v 2004 automatico CAE. Sorry for my english.

There are two common causes for an EPB failure. First and foremost, what is the condition of the rear brake rotors (discs) and the brake pads? If they are too worn, the automatic adjustment fails and an EPB failure message is shown. Yes, it disappears when you turn off the engine, and then comes back when you apply brakes again. My Thesis had that, and the problem has been gone for more than a year after I replaced the rotors and pads.
Another possibility is a crack in the parking brake motor housing at rear brake calipers. If moisture gets in, that can cause problems. It's more like a problem here in the north. I assume you don't have freezing temperatures down there in Spain...?

There's no problem with the EPB. The problem is the gearbox and it always causes an epb error when there's an error in the gearbox. Nobody knows why, maybe because it's in service mode (drives only on 4th gear) it also makes the epb goes to servise mode. Check the gearbox for errors and you have to repair it.

I have a problem with EPB
yellow lamp blinked (p) and in next moent automatic gear go to
safe mode ... Icant excange gears, and car have no power for start
fast
I change a little batery on the back of the Lancia, but not different after this

is the problem in the aitomatic gear or EPB sensor...or ...

There's no problem with EPB. The problem is the gearbox that is running in safemode so always engaged the 4th gear. The epb fault always goes on when gearbox is in safemode.

but what is the problem??? electric or mechanic trouble please one soluction. first confrortronic light is on and when i go slowly appears epb light

Buy an ELM327 interface and read the error. Automatic gearbox lifetime about 200.000 km. 250-300.000 in Volvo, but the Thesis gearbox program kills it earlier (Thesis always use engine brake)

I had EPB error with bad trans. We totally rebuilt it from zero (controlling unit, turbine, lamellas etc...) and now works perfectly.

85perc it's and mechanic problem, but as it was mentioned, you should check it also with the diagnostics.
BTW in later models the software was changed by a different one to longer the trans life.
