no, all gone on vacation...hopefully in their Lancias...

Huh! I'd like to just not work in weather like this..... which probably wouldn't even add up to more than a week, anyway!
The idea of driving one of the Lancias somewhere better set up for this is quite appealing - Provence, Tuscany, Southend - any of those would do!

And forget Provence: lovely, but the gendarmes in France have Subarus now. Not funny, not funny at all.

Tuscany's no good: no smoking zone, Italy.

So to sum up: modify your car in England - banned everywhere else except (I think the U.S.) Smoke in France (the wine's good too). Visit the Lancia museum in Italy.

Don't ask me where you can drive though, is there anywhere left?

driving through Switzerland's mountains is a treat; the views are spectacular, the air clear, the food 'interesting' and even without having to exceed 80kmh you can have lots of fun...
