New Dedra owner.

Hi,new to this forum,I have a small garage and specialise in Italian cars (especially Fiat X1/9!) and have just bought myself a '94 Dedra 1600ie-never worked on one of these before.Very impressed,much better than our previous Delta and Tempra,and most other Italians we have had,but a few queries. Is the door open warning/interior light switch built in to the lock mechanisim as on Tempra's? I have a door open warning showing all the time,along with the check lamp.The injector warning lamp came on a few times,but showed no difference in performance,apart from a high idle speed for a bit,any common problems here? Also I have no dipped beam,not had time to check it out yet,but I can hear a relay switching in the fusebox,so the switch is OK,I'll check it out,but would be nice to know if its happened to anyone else!And is the panel under the headlamps avaliable seperete? mine has a rusty hole in it,if so anyone have one?-I'll keep you posted on problems and fixes in the future!

the panel under the headlamps comes of with 2 bolts 1 each side i am breaking a 1.6 dedra but this panel is slightly bent [car had light front] have had my first dedra over9 years i think electric probs are part of owning a dedra but i love them

Got the lights sorted,it was just bulbs! they looked fine too....
injector light coming on more frequently now,and idle speed erattic sometimes-thanks for the info on the light panel,my local scrappy's have 2 in so I'm away to raid them!

Got a panel today,gave it a quick blow over and put it on,makes a huge difference!-fixed the door warning lamp and rear interior light,but even after a good service (well overdue)-the injection light is still coming on.tickover is perfect at about 800,but still need to get a back box,will check it out after it is fitted
