Tacho- and fuelmeter problem

Unread post by cartman »

My rev-counter and fuelmeter stopped working at the same time. All the other meters and warning lights are still working properly (don't know about the fuel light). What could have caused the fault?

Also my front wheel camber angles are strongly on the positive side, but I didn't find any adjustment. It seems, that the car has not been in any serious accident. Has somebody put wrong shockabsorbers in my car? The car is Dedra 1.6ie -90. I would be grateful for some help.

I forgot to tell, that the central-locking system is not working either. Maybe there's some connection between failures in meters and central locking system?

Hi!

I am not familiar with Lancias (yet) but in your case I would chech the fuses first. It is odd that all stopped to function at the same time. The info on which fuse(s) to check is probably in your user manual.

the central locking has a 20 amp fuse in the main fuse box drivers side

Thanks for tip, but all the fuses are OK. The central-locking system was allready broken when I bought the car. Meters started working again, when I disconnected the battery cable for a few minutes. It's still a mystery what caused the fault.
