i have a dedra 1.6 ie the battery light has been glowing now for 2 years its not the battery or alternator someone told me to try the igniton switch any idea if it would be this. have had the car 8 years now and have a compleat car for spares also interior light only comes on with switch not when door is opened any ideas [realay ,time delay switch?

Have you seen Gary Hills message further down the page, check the single wire from the alternator.
