Kappa coupe - rear Shocks - How to....

Hi,
I have a 1998 2.0l 20v Turbo coupe - a wonderful car!
It needed a suspension change so after looking around I thought I was lucky to find new front and rears in the UK by KYB. A keen price so snapped them up and after a while had them fitted. Unfortunately they degraded very quickly - not bad on a mortorway cruise but acted like a jack in the box if I rode a bump!
I have found some second hand Kappa shocks with springs and have managed to change the fronts with little issue. However...!....the rears...how do I get to the top mount? Not doubt this will create a few sniggers, chortles and down right belly laughs but I am absolulty stumped!
Strpped the the boot covers and no access - not even a hint of a top mount bolt!
Do I have to remove the rear seat? if so how?
Considerations for the future:
Koni adjustables all round: no longer made as a kit but specialist can get hold of the drawings and make them up using inserts in the original struts.
The lottery option is a custom spec set similar to what has been provoided for the Integrale: special dampers, coil overs and assisting springs. then there is the fitting and set up..... over £2k!
So for the moment any information regarding access to the top mount would be most appreciated!
