Problems in injection system

Dear Friends,
I own Dedra 1993 1600cc.
Lately, I have problems with the injection system and I will appreciate any help you may be able to give me.
The problem: The red light that indicates a problem in the injection system started to light up. A few seconds after this, the engine shuts down. I restart the engine and the problem happens a few times again until eventually the red light is on and the engine is running weakly. After a few minutes it gets back to normal. This problem occurs every several hundred kilometers. My mechanic tried to solve this by firstly cleaning the injection system, secondly he changed the injection unit and thirdly he changed the coil. All the above helped a bit but the problem still occurs. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can solve this problem?

Hi,
Your description of your dedra's problem, seems exactly like the problem of mine. I have a Dedra 1.6.i.e. 1991 with 104.000 Km, and for about 1 year, i have manage to live with that red light on and off...eheheh
Finally, this morning (this is the ironic part), i left my car in the mecanic to solve 2 problems, and the injection is one of them.
As soon as i get some news, i promisse i come back here to post them.

My Dedra's problem it's solved, and i think it's the same problem as yours. Send me an e-mail with your e-mail adress, so i can send you some docs with information about the solution. This is also for anyone who have the same problem. I think you will be able to fixe your dedra's problem with this information...no wonder why your mecanic didn't solve it...he as been working the wrong parts, at least, that's what it seems...
