Injection warning light dedra integrale

Hello.
I have a '93 dedra integrale with original engine.
I have a problem with the warning light for the injection lighting up quite often. At the same time I can feel the engine is not running right. This usually last for a few seconds, then the engine runs fine again and the light goes off.
Anyone have an idea as to what might be wrong?
A thought is that maybe one of the sensors to the ECU might be giving some bad signal, maybe the lambda sensor is worn out?
Is this engine very sensitive to fuel quality?
I would be most thankful for any ideas of what can cause this, and suggestions how to solve it.
Thanks,
Vegar.
