Re: Someone loves Prisma
Hello Enrico,
I love Prismas, but need the tailgate loading that a Delta can give. I have had 2 "Prisma Symbol" and think they are great cars.
I have visited your web site before and enjoyed it even though I do not speak Italian (even though I have an Italian name!).
Here is a picture of my second Prisma (grey/grigio). Prisma.
I live in Scotland. http://www.lancia.fsnet.co.uk/prisma.htm
Best regards, Leo

Re: Someone loves Prisma
Enrico,
I have a Prisma 1600 (1st serie carb), bought new in 1985, so it's still a first hand. Now it's more than 210.000 km. Very happy with it, I use it mainly to go to job .. in Paris, it's easier to use than a Kappa.
Quite nothing was done on the engine for the last 130.000 km, only the water pump replacement. However, I am still expreriency problems (from the beginning) with rear brakes, and parts are no longer avalaible.
Pierre.

Re: Someone loves Prisma
Nice One! Una Bella Lancia.
In the UK, power steering was never available for the 2 wheel drive Prisma and Delta. Was that optional on left hand drive Prismas?

Re: Someone loves Prisma
Hello Leo and Enrico
@enrico:
This was the Symbol in Austria and Germany:
http://www.pixelbu.de/vu/lancia/prospekt/index.html
(Other Symbol were also produced, with green Alcantar and less fog lambs)
3 colours and 3 kind of Alcantara were Standard...
The motor had 90 horses, this was the 1600ie in Italy wit 108PS. 90PS because the Prisma had a catalysator...
As a option there was servo steering (i don´t have that) and a Lampwasher...
Now I had new (allesio in a nother dimension from my DELTA II) on the Prisma... The car look very very good...
Now this are Photos from 2 months:

and my best photo I think:

I like the prisma soo much, because it soo beutiful. We have and had 2 Dedras... There is a big difference to the prisma... All in all the Prisma is the older but the better car. The suspensions are great, the engine also...
I like this cars soo much.
P.S.
Last but not least im 21 years old and I love the old Lancia with lancia tecnology not with fiat tecnology

Re: Someone loves Prisma
Hello Prisma fans!
The UK Prisma Symbol sounds the same as the German one. Front fog lamps, front and rear electric windows, rear headrests, alcantara interior, 1600ie engine, 8 spoke alloy wheels, metallic grey (2 colours of grey), metallic red or metallic blue, disc brakes front and rear, colour coded mirrors, a stripe along the side and Lancia badges on the pillars between the doors - an elegant sedan. No power steering (same for all right hand drive Prismas and Deltas). In the UK the Symbol was in the same price range as the Ford Orion Ghia but out-classed it in every way.
I prefer the handling of the Prisma to the equivalent Delta GTie, I think that the extra bit at the rear helps the balance.
I posted a very nice brochure here: http://www.lancisti.org/index.php?page= ... file_id=43
I think that you will need to register to see it though, but it is a good web site. If you want I could e-mail the brochure file to you.
