Well my project is still not finished, I will install the rear camera when changing rear seats with massage and heated one. I'm waiting right now for a special converter that would make an input for the original thesis picture. Also the rear monitor is not installed yet. I'm not going to install the tv tuner as the number and length of advertisements on tv has grown up so much that I'm not interested in it any more.

Wooooow, sry. I was too lazy to get it translated from Italian , I thought we are speaking about something different.
I don't thing you can do it yourself, only if I or my friend do it, because you need to have a firmware from some thesis that has navi, than flash it to yours. That it would be working but you will have an EOL error on the dashboard informing that you have some control unit added or removed. So you have to pair the new navi with the car by a diagnostics software.

so...is a work that can be done with the examiner (the lancia-fiat-alfa diagnostic software)?

Only the last part - pairing can be done with examiner. For flashing you need a special tool.
