gearbox bearing

Hi,
I'm busying rebuilding my Lancia Prisma Gearbox (1988 !600ie symbol). Ive
managed to get nearly all the bearings except one!
It's a SKF roller bearing 2nu/22EC dimensions OD: 50mm ID: 23mm Height:
14mm
It is the first bearing inside the gearbox on the input shaft from the
clutch.
SKF have it listed but do not stock and cant supply me with one because
its an agent only part. No Lancia agents in Cape Town though
Does anyone have any ideas how I can get one? A friendly lancia agent
somewhere I can email and organise to ship it to South Africa would be
ideal.
Even a Lancia part number or some kind words would be appreciated.
Regards
Laurence

Hello Laurence,
This is a dodgy business - I would hate to tell you the wrong part number, so I have to say that I am no expert and you take this advice at your own risk.
From the parts CD the part number is 4402118 and this is a FIAT part number so must fit some FIATs - no doubt the twin cam engined Ritmo/Strada cars. Can send you a drawing if you want.
This is the bearing on the input shaft at the end that has the splines for the clutch plate. This bearing is usually the first one to go. I would think that Evocars may have one

Good luck, Leo

Hi,
thanks for the part number. I didnt have any luck from any lancia spares places but managed to find the part through the south african SKF agents. There are 200 odd sitting in the factory in german. One is in the process of getting freighted to me as we speak.
The thing that made it tricky was the fact that the bearing had two skf serial numbers and the one on the outer race was for a bearing double the size. It was only after removing the inner ring that I could see the other part number NJ 2/22/23 ECP
Once again I take my hats off to SKF who really saved the day for me.
Cheers
Laurence

Hi Lasse,
All the other bearings I was able to buy from local bearing suppliers. I took in samples and they matched them up. The bearing next to the output was a little hard to get hold of and I ended up getting one with a lower height and putting a spacer underneath.
I took loads of pictures that might help you
