I´m about to buy an Integrale, but I´ve heard so many stories about them, for example, that the EVO-versions are a mix of spare-parts, and not built buy Lancia, or that the first Integrale´s are the best built cars....?!?!

Can someone give me som more stories, or is it actually some people, who can tell me wich one to buy??
Is it the 8v, 16v with cat....or without....or should I buy an EVO???

Jesper,

Buy the best and most orignal one you can afford.

Some people reckon the 8V engine is stronger than the later 16V in the Evo's, but it depends if you want to tune it.

The Evo versions, true were built by Maggoria, but they did also go on to build the Barchetta and Kappa Coupe - that i know about. This was probable more done due to the lower build numbers and was cheaper for Lancia to out source. Other manufacturers do this, the original Renault Clio V6 and Volvo C70 cabriolet were built by TWR.

Once you get into the Evo 2, they are much the same with different colours and seat fabric for the limited editions - Martini 5 & 6 etc and which one will be down to personnel choice and availablitiy. Just watch out on the 16V kat and Evo 1 sedici model which retained the 8V engine with at catalictic conveter to meet the emmission standards in Geramany and Switzerland, nothing wrong with these with the above comment on reliability, its just that your not getting the complete car that you are advertising on the outside.

Just remember you are buying and early rally car with the minimalist changes to make it civil on the public road and is not like buying a Subaru or Mitsibushi.
