General Delta 93+ info

Unread post by Jealousy »

So, i`m new with Deltas. Could anyone tell me more about them? I`m interested in diesel version, but i think, other options are pretty much the same. What do they have as standart? Electric windows, mirrors, central locking, climatcontrol, etc? Maybe someone could show some interior pictures? (i searched google, but, didn`t find any worth)
How about some tech problems? Are there any specific probs?

try searching for pictures on www.mobile.de - there are some Deltas on sale there.

as to problems: in general deltas are strongly built - I have an HF 2.0 turbo version and use it in Ukraine, where roads are pretty bad. The rigid sport suspension is pretty strong even for holes and pits.

The problem I currently have is with the engine: the drossel chip went berserk - costed me some 150 EUR and there is noise in DOHC section, which scares me the most - cause can b serious. And this is in spite of that the car has only 113,000 on odometer and is in very good shape. On the other hand I bought it used, and owner before me liked to step on it (as probably all HF version owners do:)))).

p.s. don't buy diesel - get petrol - much more fun.

More fun is good, but fuel consuption is bad...

Btw, do they rust? or they`re galvanized?

They have the same rust treatment as the Dedra, i.e. galvanised.

I have a HPE HF Turbo which is now 6 years old and is not showing signs of rust. However the paint is soft and chips easily.

Fuel consumption is not to bad unless you use the Turbo. If you drive like it should be driven!! then the consumption is bad.
