Left Hand Inner Axle removal

Unread post by jeremyp »

Hi All,
I own a 2005 Lancia thesis and the three bearings in the joint between the outer axle and inner axle have collapsed, damaging both inner and outer axles. I have sourced both axles and removed the outer axle. I am having problems removing the inner axle. There is no fixing bolts and it looks like it is just pressed into the housing. Does anyone have any experience in removing these?

Thanks for your help

If we mean the same so yes, it's only pressed in, you just have to pull it out but remember that it will make you transmission oil go out.
