Delta GTie
Power going to ignition coil, can't confirm negative (-) tough... It's seems to go only when working ...
But ... here's the deal ... Ignition coil tested on the Prisma ... and working ... but ... no power going to the distributor...
The question is ... altough it all works except for the engine ... is it possible to have a wreck ECU ???
And if so ... is it possible to use one from a prisma ... wich I believe to be different ... W02P and W04P if my mind is correct... !?!?!?!?
Thanks in advance,
Marcos

Hi Marcos,
The ECUs are very reliable - unlikely to be the problem. The Prisma unit will work well enough to check that the Delta starts and runs - might be slight differences in the programming that would effect the ultimate performance and economy.
The standard fault is the sensor which looks at the crankshaft pulley, you can check that with an Ohm meter. If there is any resistance then it is probably ok, open circuit means dud. Second standard fault is the sensor inside the distributor - the insulation goes brittle and can short out.
Since Jason's problem was the coil connections it would be best to check that the coil is earthed nicely and the connections are in good condition.
Good luck, Leo

Hi Leo ... just got back from under the car ... removed the inside protection of the fender to see the crankshaft pulley but... can't get to the sensor ... how can I remove it ??? It looks so tight from everywhere
