Lancia - how long?
Re: Lancia - how long?
This sounds kinda like the typical journalistic gossip.
As far as the topic of Lancia goes though, I really don't see them doing much.
To be frank, even Alfa was somehow lucky to produce some great products
these past years. I don't see Fiat Auto putting a lot of money into anything.
I mean, if they want to make Lancia go up against Mercedes with the Lybra,
Thesis, Phedra, and new Y.. they are pretty far off.
Alfa needs continuing investment, and Lancia needs a lot of concentration
and development.. They could do it, it just depends if they have the will to
and the money.
Bad managment...

Re: Lancia - how long?
From Automotive News Europe:
_________
Lancia's future may be threatened as Fiat Auto CEO Giancarlo Boschetti cuts costs.
"We are heavily thinking about how to handle the Lancia brand in the future," said Boschetti. "We must keep in mind that we do not have infinite amounts of cash for new product investment."

Re: Lancia - how long?
Its kind of hard to read into what they mean. If it means, we want to
wisely invest into pushing Lancia forward, or if we can't afford Lancia,
so they are being phased out.
Argg..
