Does anybody have experience of variator problems with the 1.8 Delta/Dedra V V T
engine fitted to later models. It appears to have much in common with the Barchetta engine and mine is showing the signs.

Chances are its the same as the late model Alfa 155 16v engines. They have all kinds of problems with their cam variators. See
www.alfa155.co.uk for more details and how to tell if your variator is up the spout

The good news is that as a loyal Lancia customer Fiat has decided that I don't have to pay for the replacement Variator.(The car is two years out of warranty and not sold officially in the UK)
