I have a '91 16v 'Grale. It runs absolutely perfect for 99% of the time and then "i.e" light will come on and it will start to run rough.

It feels like it isn't firing on all cylinders as it judders and doesn't sound as if it is firing properly. It smokes badly but the turbo does work. If I let the car idle it will drop to about 500rpm and nearly stall.

But after a couple of minutes it seems to just sort itself out and the car drives normally, idles normally and stops smoking.

Any ideas?

I know this sounds very minor but the trottle body connections are not very good ot the weber marelli injection so try and tighten these and that might solve your problem but I'm not certain worth a try
