Hello everybody ; I need help and advise to solve 2 problems as I am on work in disassembling shafts from my Series 1 Fulvia to replace rubber protections and oil seals of gearbox output, I'm at and I wound two main difficulties:
1 - the original clamp for external rubber is a tight metal circle factory strengthened, I replaced it with a screw clamp, but the screw will abut on the nut of the ball just below, I did not find a necklace model "wing"; now I used a nylon collar but even this is thicker, rotation made it come in contact with the metal sheet supporting the nuts of brake fluid. Anybody knows a new collar system as thin as the original ? (on the attached picture, the shaft is not completely in place)

2 – after overhauling the shafts, I went to put them back in place : no problem on left side; but on the right side, I can not press-fit bottom of the splined shaft in the wheel carrier. I do not understand what prevents the tree from coming all the way into the flutes. Nothing is worried. I triyed for several hours, I am depited ! Your experience?
