I think gasoline more agressive material than alcohol. It's a bit "urban legend" E85 damage injection parts.
Only disengage pollutions from gasoline pipes.

Maybe the ECU's lambda sensor control loop have closer curves in our cars.

If I'll have time I'll measure - can the lambda be lambda=1 with 10% ethanol content.

(If I remember I can read lambda value from OBD)
