A high level of silicon suggesting remains fo the wrong type of grinding paste.

I don't remember exactly what not to use as I threw away the suspect stuff.
I use again what I used before which is Metal Grinding Compound from VersaChem. It is grease mixed silicone carbide. And clean very well afterwards of course. Then put ordinary low cost oil in the gearbox. Drive a couple of miles till it is warm. Then replace the oil with the 75W90 full synthetic.
