I report that I am ill this evening (more than usual)..having split a gut ... while watching the Top Gear Report..of the beautiful "big-lung blondish co-driver" in the loverly Ami8 on the web...& oh yes, some other cars & people too !
The "small-person co-driver" was veeerrryyy funny too
I googled
top gear ami8 & found the show rather quickly. It is really worth watching
I think the luggage on the roof contributed to the cars performance greatly,,,
& yes, I've edited out my improper reference to a possible 4 cyl motor.

Freeze the bit when the bonnet (hood in JJ language) is open and you will see the puny 2cv motor (or not as the case may be! Also listen to when James May starts up - classic 602cc boxer sound....
So no - only the 28 horses...
Tim
PS glad you found it and enjoyed - probaly one of the best Top gears in ages

agree that it was very entertaining but felt sorry for the old Lancheter...but the Ami 8 was brilliant! I wondered why they put the boxes on the roof...didn't really add to the entertainment other than colour.

Phil, the boxes (probably filled with benzine cans) are there to give us (males) something else to "google at" besides the lovely co-driver. Oops, I mean to write "oogle at"... I think I did both.
How did they always get that black Lan'ter, up-an-running so many times & so quickly & never arrive anywhere looking "oily & gritty" ?

Could it be that the "breakdowns & problems" were 'pre-staged into the script' to add a bit of "heavy-drama" to the otherwise hilarious proceedings ?
I'd assume yes, but even if so, it was still well done, hilarious "heavy drama". (tu)
