Before doing something drastic

Take the spark plugs out and run the engine on the starter
If it then turns easily try to turn it via a spanner on a suitable nut (fan pulley)
If that also goes easily the problem is not your engine, but your starter motor

Only if this fails start thinking of taking the engine out again

i bought my Flaminia Convertible 3 C 2 years ago. The car was half restored and in parts. Some parts were of course missing. The bottom was rust welded and the engine overhauled. Now when I was about to start it, the maechanic had done some serious faults. he had used con rods with non corresponding numbers and the bearings seized. I had to take the engine out again.
I have had the aluminium coachwork welded, restored and painted by a profesional. Only time will show if it is good enough. I do all assembly myself.
(I should have done the engine as well).
The only items not finished now are the doors with their panels and the window sliding mechanism, which do not slide well.
I have obtained new corresponding rods from a parts supplier in Sweden. When they arrive in next week, the engine will go in again.
I have bought a lot of parts from Omicron in England, which give excellent service.
For the last two years I have also visited Imola parts market in Italy, where I have found a lot, also for my other Lancias. Othervise there have been useful articles about Flaminia restoration in the German Motor Klassik and the English Classic and Sportscar.
I wish you luck with your Flaminia.
