I know everyone in the world understands English; so I will write in English.

Certainly English is the language spoken at Saab Sverige in Stockholm & Trollhätten (As well as at Saab AB; which we will not discuss here).
FACT: Saab has sold more cars, in the last 40 years to USA; & to US Military & Dipolomatic Corps Members (in Europe) than to the rest of the world. Saab was certainly selling many more cars when the $ was a valuable currency vs. Euro-Currencies.
FACT: The USA(Canadian Forces "Troop-Strength" in Europe is much lower then in the not-so-distant past.
The $ imput via the US/Can Forces in no longer significant (Ramstein area excepted),
FACT: Saab imported by Saab to USA/Canada for sales through Saab dealers are subject to import taxes; on the import value of the vehicle + transport.
FACT: Saab is not produced in USA. Vehicles produced USA are (quite obviously) import-tax & see-transport free
FACT: Toy, Nis, Hyun, Kia, BMW, MB, Hon etc....all "non USA/Can companies...now produce tax / transport free vehicles in USA
FACT: Vehicles produced in USA ... regardless of
Brand-Name...provide employment in USA.
Vehicles produced in the USA are looked upon more favorably by USA / Can Consumers than foriegn produced vehicles
FACT: Saab was "different & unique" many years ago; Saab had FWD & was considered a car for northern climates. Very few cars had fwd many yrs ago. In the last 20 years almost all vehicle manufactures began producing FWD cars (except Benz / BMW / Porsche) in USA. Saab is no longer unique.
FACT: Saab enjoyed its best beriod when the Saab Turbo was "hothothot"; since the introduction of the Saab Turbo every manufacturer has a "hothothot" model Ditto on the Saab Cabrio !
FACT: Saab will never again be a factor on the N. American Market. Without that Market, there rest of the world will not buy the #'s of cars needed to maintain production. Regardless of how nice the Saab dream-cars look; the "rest of the world" market will not keep Saab alive.
FACT; perhaps an entirely different "Saab" will succeed, much smaller, much less expensive to operate (can you imagine the cost of keeping Saab buildings heated ?). Personally, I think it is "Time to Say Goodbye" & time to say "thanks GM, for keeping Saab alive for all those years when it made no money"-
IMHO, JG
