Hallo René ich habe die Zahl 843 beim Ypsilon als Produktionszahl aufgefasst. Die laufenden Nummern sind mir nicht so geläufig. Aber eine interessante Seite die du da hast.

Re: Lancia SUV
Hallo Italo,
In English this time;-) I understand that you now realise that 843 is the Lancia Design/project code for the latest Ypsilon.
(Like 841 for the Thesis 839 for the Lybra etc.)
Just leaves me with the question why you don´t consider or believe the data is correct/true?
Recently Fiat auto has been able to get for 2007 18.000 more cars from the Suzuky factory where the SX4/Sedici is manufactured. It could well be that this allows for the introduction of the Lancia derivative `Pangea´ which was originally scheduled but put on hold as the Sedici proved to be a bigger succes than expected.
In my opionion the production figures as shown on the website could indicate that they did a first pre-production run of this ´Pangea´
Dutch greetz,
René

Re: Lancia SUV
Hello Waldi,
That's indeed correct. And obviously there's also a shift in time between sales and production.
Ciao,
René
P.S. I'm still curious whether the production run of a Lancia 'Suv' (assuming the data is correct) means that the 'Pangea' will be introduced this year. It did not appear (anymore) on any of the recent lists or presentations from Fiat Auto on their future plans. I guess the only thing we can do is sit and wait;
But to be honest, I consider the New 2008 Delta to be much more interesting as this we be a 'unique' Lancia model, Although with close ties to the new Bravo.

Re: Lancia SUV
Guys, please note that on top of the JD Power production list it is mentioned that the data are estimates! However, Rene's findings are very interesting and hopefully true since it shows that there is some kind of commitment towards expanding Lancia's poor product range. A possible model range by 2010 could look as follows: Ypsilon replacement (3 and 5 door), New Delta HPE, Roadster (Fulvia concept), Musa replacement. Open questions are still the SUV, theThesis and Phedra replacements (will the Eurovan collaboration with PSA continue?). What I would also like to see from Lancia besides a massive expansion of its dealer network outside of Italy, is a Thesis station wagon, a large SUV, a sporty coupé (Bravo platform) all also available with Hybrid engines and a prestige project like the Alfa 8C, e.g. a revival of the Stratos limited to 500 units. OK, OK enough dreamed for today.
