Hi,
With reference to using the Fiat Uno Turbo clutch, is it possible to use that clutch with the 4 speed box ? I have a Series 1 Fulvia.
Thanks
Steve

The quick answer is "No".
The S1 clutch is really no good in my view. It is very heavy for what is in reality, only a moderate amount of torque capability.
To use the better diaphragm clutch, you would need:
S2 Bell housing,
S2 flywheel,
S2 starter motor
Clutch driven plate from an early BMW (1600 I think)
You could then enjoy the superior performance and lighter weight, of the 1400 Uno Turbo clutch!
Best wishes
Paul

Paul, thanks for the info.
I've just got my car back on the road and, to be honest, the clutch probably needs replacing now.
I can source the Series 2 stuff fairly easily - but two further questions please.
I have established that there were 2 different Uno Turbo clutches. I see you refer to the 1400cc Uno. Is that a different one to the 1300cc ?? And secondly can you give me anymore info on the 'early BMW' clutch plate. That could be more of a challenge.
Thanks for your help

Steve,
The Uno clutch to use is the 1400 one; it is different from the 1300.
I don't think I have any more information on the BMW clutch. However it is simply a matter of measuring the original and counting the number of splines. Then find a clutch catalogue and go through until you find a match.

Order a thrust bearing from Cavalitto. Alternatively a 1600 Beta thrust bearing is the same as SII Fulvia
