I just forgot to write here before, that the 225/45 is perfect on 17” alloy wheels.

So Peter, you are the owner of the hungarian Kappa with Thesis wheels. With 17" it is correct.
The cruncher is in ALL cases to have the outer tyre diameter (and thus the circumference) identical or as close as possible to the original size. The reasons are 2: the gearing of the car is designed for it, and the speedometer will have a deviation when the circumference is different.

The very intersting thing, that last december I bought the Thesis wheels with the 225/50 17” tyres on them, and the speedometer correct after that too… It’s very strange for me, becouse the difference between the old and the new wheels’ circumference is 3.63% (23mm).
