Here you can see the special tool to stretch the leave spring when mounting. Without the tool the shackle will flip forward and the car will be extremely tail high.
Als I noticed that the reflectors on the tail are mounted wrong way.

That looks like a job that might require a trip to Breda ;D I've done quite a few coil springs in my time but wouldn't know where start with a leaf.

The rear is concave. The thicker side of the reflectors should face inward.

ah I See, yes that would make sense so you geta more 'square on'view of the reflectors. a nice easy change!

It means also that the person who worked on the car, did not know the car. There might be many "booby traps".

You can sell the Defender. If the Fulvia is ok you will not think about the Defender anymore.

No idea if any help at this point but here goes.
I have a 1969 S1 Fulvia Coupe which was too low. Omicron have fitted correct springs as it turned out it had a set of specials from UK maker which lowered it. I have these in garage if you want them as I will never use them - car is for rallying and height is important.
