Second opinion from a friend of mine, who has gone through several Fiat 600s: Looks like from a 600. He also wondered how they can be in such a bad shape, when even most badly rotten forest finds have had these parts in good shape. Maybe something to do with salty oceanic climate?

The Fiat 600 latch is very close in shape and may be able to modify to make it work.
The reason it is such bad shape is due to impurities within the cast metal itself or it became a sacrificial anode that results in galvanic corrosion down the road.

If it is very close, could it be, that Vignale modified Fiat-parts, and then replated them? Anyway, the originals look bad, but are not beyond repair. Of course it is cheaper to get Fiat-parts, if they are ok for this task.
