Gelezen AMT: zou dit een alternatief zijn? Wordt bv de cd-wisselaar op de AUX van de CONNECT aangesloten?
Voor zover een iets oudere autostereo beschikt over een AUX-ingang brengt Ford uitkomst. Veel apparaten hebben dat al wel, ook af-fabriek ingebouwde stereo.
Op die ingang kan de Ford Music Box aangesloten worden. Ford geeft een reeks modellen aan vanaf 2004 waarin de originele stereo de benodigde aansluiting heeft.
Daaraan wordt dan een kastje gekoppeld dat het USB-signaal omzet in iets wat de stereo kan afspelen. Zoals bij een computer-USB zal de aansluiting ook batterijgevoede apparaten opladen, zoals een telefoon of MP3-speler.
Een kabel met USB-stopcontact kan naar dashboardkast, middenconsole of een andere min of meer verdekte plaats worden gelegd. Inclusief inbouw kost dat vanaf € 169,- meldt Ford.

Hoi Gergely,
ik heb vorige maand mijn CD speler er uit gehaald en een Loudlink ingebouwd. Om het functioneel te maken was ik een halfuurtje kwijt. Het is de vier schroeven van het handschoenenvak los maken, dan de vier schroeven van de CD speler en dan de kabel losmaken en dan de kabel van de Loudlink vastmaken. Vervolgens het handschoenenvak weer inbouwen en klaar is Kees of in mijn geval Hans
