arrived!

Unread post by tag89 »

After a bit of a trek from Sicily my Fulvia is now carefully tucked up in NL.

So the negatives...
Having started fine at collection it's now running horribly - down a cylinder I think. Seemingly hasn't enjoyed days on a truck in the pouring rain. Have a new dis cap, points, condenser, leads, plugs to go on so will start there.

Rad looks pretty rusty & shite so that will be coming off at the weekend for a good flush... looks a relatively simple job but any advice welcome.

some minor interior issues - the sun visors feel like they're basically dust inside :D

slight brake binding. may just need using properly, been stood for a little while.

Postives
it just looks absolutely fantastic. love the colour, love the tan interior

paint is generally very good, couple of slight marks that I think will polish out.

Looks very clean underneath, benefits of a warm dry climate I suppose

Couple of initial questions...
- the mounting points for static belts...the upper one is covered by a plastic cap is that right? I saw the cap but didn't want to force it off until I was absolutely certain.
- pic I guess this is an aftermarket alarm? I will get it out if so, will be going through engine bay and tidying and don't want anything there that isn't necessary.

cheers!

The thing on the pic is the voltage regulator.

Well, best replace with an electronic one to avoid burning the dynamo.

I thought replacement to electronic was if it had been changed to elec ignition?

Or is it prudent to change anyway?
