Close the hole. How to?
Close the hole. How to?
This is an engine I rebuilt two years ago. The engine is in the car. Unfortunately the pisellino came out. It caused the chain to break. Inside the aluminium is a steel bush. I don't want to cut thread in the bush. The wall is too thin and it may turn when cutting. How can I close the hole??? The diameter is appr. 8 mm.
Note that oil pressure is 6 bar. Temperature 120 degr C.
Re: Close the hole. How to?
If you ask me i would say the only way is to cut a thread. And use glue to fix an Adapter there and M4 mm thread for the nozzel.
The Nozzle make from cunifer brakepipe 4,75 mm with thread M4
at the one end. The other side closed with a hammer and bend include the calibration of the needed inner diameter.
I have done the second part with the nozzel many years
A go and is still working. This i have done because nozzels were
Not awailable at this time.

Re: Close the hole. How to?
The bush you have to remove for sure.
And the new Adapter your can add. fix
with some light grain strokes like the plugs
of the crankshaft.

Re: Close the hole. How to?
Good idea, Andreas. To use the brake pipe. We do not necessarily need a nozzle in this engine. Close the hole is enough.
