Hibernation!?
Hibernation!?
Have all the Thema owners gone to sleep or are we all enjoying a period of great reliability with nothing to talk about?
Re: Hibernation!?

Re: Hibernation!?
What type of engine do you need?
The UK Lancia Thema Consortium has a pile of engines ranging from 8v Turbos through to VIS.
I'm also the membership secretary so always keen to find new recruits!

Re: Hibernation!?
a series 2 16v turbo (1989), problem would be shipping, in the end it will probably be way to expensive
Re: Hibernation!?
Do you need the full engine or would a cylinder head be enough to get you back on the road?
Re: Hibernation!?
The engine i have already has a wear ridge at the top of the cylinders (186kkms) it's the original engine, bought the car as a nonrunner so i'm not sure on the condition of that engine.. the other engine i had in it went into an S3 Thema for track days only..
Re: Hibernation!?
Hmmm... sounds like a full replacement engine then!
I'll keep my ear to the ground for S2 Turbos that are cheap and roadworthy. Might be cost effective to fly to UK and drive one back to Portugal. Current UK prices for these cars seem to have slumped, but that might just be a reflection of the fact that anyone in the UK who wants a Thema has now got one stored away and cosseted.
