Thema 16V Turbo Shocks

Unread post by Morne Joubert »

Is it possible to fix the adjustable shocks on the Thema 16V Turbo? What should one look for to fix these shocks. With a recent attempt it was found that small pieces of plastic most probably coming from a disintegrated shroud or shim on the bottom valve on the stem of the shock blocked the orrifices of this valve. By cleaning all parts and adding new hydraulic oil the shock now appears to be functional but the functioning of the electric valve is still in question. How does one test this valve for correct functioning? By exciting the coil of the valve just a faint click sound is present. If one looks at the composition of the parts of this valve it is not very clear how far the plunger in the core of the solenoid part of this valve is to move. When one loosens the inner core on the valve by unscrewing the nut on the outside thus giving it more play it is easily activated by the electric coil.

WHEN YOU REBUILD THEM YOU SHOULD TEST THEM IN THE APPROPRIATE TESTING-LOADING MACHINE.
