Er is een kort artikel (2 pag.) in Carros van juli-aug die vertelt over de toekomst van Lancia. Kennelijk gaat Fiat wat meer aandachte besteden aan klassiek uiterlijk en ook sportiviteit, zo komen er weer pittige 4-wielaangedreven modellen.
Artikel is zelf wellicht de 4,70 euro niet waard (een S3 coupe wordt aangeschreven als "oer-fulvia"), maar in combinatie met test en foto's van Alfa's Brera zeker wel.

de essentie van het verhaal staat ook on-line op www.carros.nl, beter wachten tot na de IAA dan zal er ook wel een blas als Auto Motor und Sport goed uitpakken met een Lancia verhaal neem ik aan met de presentatie van de Fulvietta in het verschiet.

weet er iemand of er al spionage foto's bekend zijn?

The new Delta Integrale will be launched for the 100Th Anniversary of Lancia (with the new Stratos).

Engine :

5 cylinders Turbo 20 V with the exclusive and revolutionnary technique "VVA" (Variable Valve Actuation). It is the same engine than the Fiat Coupe Turbo but deeply updated :

300 cv
370-400 Nm

Aluminium/composite body
Five doors.

Length : 4.30 m

Integrale Transmission with 3 differentials : 57% rear wheels, 43% front wheels. Electronically controlled.

The range of the Delta will be the most exclusive of its segment ( Audi A3, Alfa 147 and so on......).
The engines range will be narrow : only the most powerful engines of the segment.

All the new Deltas will be fitted with the Integrale Transmission.

Sales forecast (Business Unit Lancia) :
Delta 40.000 (segmento C ) 2006

Engines available for the whole Delta range ( HF included, except diesel versions) :

As said above, the engine (HF Integrale) is an updated version of the Fiat Coupé Turbo 20V. This engine is equipped with the "VVA" technology which complies with the Euro 4 level.

This engine will be available in 3 versions :

2.0t "VVA"(light version) 205cv /350nm
2.0t "VVA" 240cv / 355nm
2.0t "VVA" 300cv / 370-400nm (for the Delta HF Integrale)

The new Delta HF Integrale will be a limited edition.

Delta HF Integrale price : approximately 46 000 € (32 638 UK pounds)

It is under consideration that Lancia might return to the WRC (not before 2006/2007) with the Delta HF Integrale.
But, this decision depends on sales figures of the new Ypsilon and the upcoming Nea (MPV).

But, great news for our English friends, Lancia will return to RHD markets (UK, Japan, Australia, Nea Zealand) in 2006.

Lancia has been completely revamping its dealers network for 1 year (first in Italy/Germany, then France etc...).

NOTICE that all the upcoming Lancias ( debut with the new Ypsilon)will have a 5 years guarantee (or 3 years maintenance included, depending on customers choice)

Details about the Fulvia HF :

composite/aluminium body (bonnet etc...)

engine : 2.0 Turbo with the (revolutionary) technology "VVA" (power between 220-250 hp)

Front wheel drive equipped with a viscous coupler (the same solution revealed for the Alfa Romeo 156 GTAm 3.5 V6 (300 hp) at the Bologna Motor Show)

It is a limited edition (2000 cars)

But if the new Fulvia is successful, it is under consideration to launch a mass-production with a wider range of engines (ie : Multijet 2.4 JTD 20v VVA with 200 hp and so on...)

Here is the complete list of the upcoming Alfa GTA :

147 GTAm Autodelta (front wheel drive) 300hp..........2004,

Body : ALUMINIUM/COMPOSITE

Integrale GTA versions have less power because they use a V6 3.2L whilst GTAm Autodelta will use a V6 3.6L.
GTAm Autodelta versions will be equipped with a very refined visco coupler developped by N-Technolgy (Alfa Romeo racing department).
There won't be a 156 GTA 340hp because when the V6 3.6L will be launched, the new 158 will have replaced the 156.

158 GTA will have a 3.2 V6 TwinTurbo 400hp (Integrale)

About Lancia, they will have a Aluminium/composite body (Fulvia, Delta Integrale and Stratos).

For your knowledge, my friend who works at the Centro Ricerche Fiat is the Chief Engineer who heads the development of the Fulvia and Delta chassis.
He told me that they were absolutely GREAT.

One last thing :

Alfa will relaunch the Quadrifoglio Verde logo :

158 Quadrifoglio Verde : 2.2 Turbo 310hp

As you can see, the choice is wide and these models are worthy of the GTA logo.
