my 2.0 consumes 8.4l/100km at a steady 120kph and averages 9 on mixed city/highway driving. The 1.8 will be more economical. A great car...alternatives to the 1.8? a 1.9 diesel?

really?? that is quite unbelievable because my Lybra 2.0 20V consumes 10-11/100 km and sometimes even 14 on mixed driving

My 2.0 automatic is also around 8-9 on ~110km/h and ~15l in city. I think its because "interesting tuned" Lybra automatic gearbox :-)

I think that Libras like petrol. My 1,8 ~ 9 l. (av. sp. 90 km/h) out of cities and 14l. in city (av. sp. 20km/h).

Our 2.0 petrol-engine takes 11 litres / 100km on average, 90% freeway @ 120 km/h and 10% city at 30-40 km/h . But the sound and performance are wel worth it.. else we should have bought a Toyota Prius (yuck!!!).

i have never seen 11L/100km on my 2.0L even going 160km ob a German autobahn...which I recenlty did and had it at 160kph on cruise control...I average 9+ a little depending; cruing at 120 I do about 8.4L/100km

Perhaps we differ in drivingstyles ;) , we mostly drive with 4 persons on board. Also, i have a pretty heavy right foor during acceleration which of course also doesn't help. This summer we will make a long trip towards our vacation adress, probably we also wil get to an average of 9 instead of 11 l/100km ;) .
But it is great fun to drive anyways, the consumption i take for granted.

i tend to use torque to bring up my speed after reaching a decent velocity...helps keep the fuel consumption down...I also use the gearbox a slow me down...still on original break pads after 165k kms...

Hello Lancia Friends;

I tested my lybra 1.8 from 2002 and these are the results...

110 Km/h 15,5-16,3 km/l

120 Km/h 13,8-14 km/l

150 Km/h 10,8 km/l

All results are with using the cruise control.....

Ciao..regards
